For Verifying Iodine and Iron in double fortified Salt

The purpose of this test is to identify the presence of Iron and Iodine in double fortified salt. The main advantage of these methods are their portability and lack of sample preparation, in comparison to the other method

For verification of Iron – In this test, Test Reagent 1 and Test Reagent  2 reacts with ferric (iron) ions to generate a Prussian blue.
For verification of Iodine – In this test, Test Reagent 3 and Test Reagent  4 reacts with iodine to generate  a dark brownish colour.
